What Ghosts Are

Ghosts are aperture shaped optical artifacts that appear when strong light sources shine into a lens. They are caused by internal reflections between lens surfaces and coatings, and often appear as repeating shapes, streaks, or blobs aligned with the light source.

In Flares OFX, ghosts are a core part of the lens system simulation. Flares OFX also allows you to artistically control each ghost individually, giving you precise control over the final look.
