Platform Support

Supported platforms and host applications for Flares OFX are listed below. Unless otherwise noted, all builds are GPU-accelerated and require an OpenFX-compatible host.


Windows
Rocky Linux 8 / 9

Note
Linux support is limited to Nuke.
Fusion and DaVinci Resolve are not supported on Linux at this time.
macOS is not supported.


Flares OFX has been officially tested and validated in the following host applications:

  • Nuke
  • DaVinci Resolve
  • Fusion

These applications are part of our regular testing pipeline and are considered supported.


  • Flame

Flame is expected to function correctly, as it supports the OpenFX standard and the required GPU features. However, it has not been officially tested by us.

Studios using Flame should validate the plugin in their environment before deploying it into production.


  • Windows 10 or newer
  • Rocky Linux 8 / 9 (Nuke only)
  • macOS is not supported

Linux support is limited to Nuke. Fusion and Resolve are not supported on Linux at this time.


  • NVIDIA GPU with CUDA support
  • Compute Capability 5.0 or higher (most NVIDIA GPUs from 2014 and newer)
  • Recommended: 6–12 GB VRAM
  • Minimum: 4 GB VRAM

  • Latest NVIDIA Game Ready or Studio drivers
  • OpenGL 3.3 or higher required

  • 64-bit Intel or AMD CPU
  • Quad-core CPU or higher recommended
  • 16 GB RAM recommended (8 GB minimum)

  • Flares OFX does not run on integrated GPUs (Intel HD / UHD).
  • AMD GPUs are not supported.
  • The operating system must ensure the plugin runs on the dedicated NVIDIA GPU.
  • Rendering continues to work even if the license expires; only UI editing is restricted.
